Fixed the lawntractor, turns out it needed a battery. $60, not a bad fix. Decided to change the oil since it hadn't been done in a few years, now it does a funny knocking when it runs...

Finally got the pool repair guy out, gave us an estimate of $7900 to replace the liner and replace our broken down filter and pump and upgrade to a salt water system.

I called the bank to find out about a loan, after they stopped laughing, they said no to an unsecured loan because we declared bankruptcy in the last 5 yrs. 2 more years to go before I can say no.

I was looking over our mortgage statement, I noticed a clause that states as a condition of the mortgage, we must maintain full replacement value insurance on the house... what a joke that is... last time I inquired about insurance, they wanted over $300/mo, the fucking crooks, only because I was late twice with the payment... they consider that a "non-payment". insurance is nothing but a scam anyway, *if* you make a claim, they jack up the premiums and you end up paying more in the long run than if you'd kept your mouth shut...

Anyway, I put in an application for a loan with the local knee-breakers, they promised and instant decision with the online application, all I got was a thanks for applying, your application has been forwarded to a local branch to be reviewed and a rep will get in touch with you in 1 to 2 business days.... that's french for "you suck"

Van is in my garage on jack stands, trying to replace the brake lines. got that done after 2 weeks of fucking around under it. I had borrowed a flaring tool for free from the local parts guy, they gave me a bubble-flare tool when I needed a double-flare tool, yes, there is a difference. Finally got it replaced, but can't get the bleeder screw off the caliper, so it needs to be replaced. Having fun trying to find the right tools to do that... once I get that figured out, then we'll see if it'll pass e-test...

and my boy still shits his pants... will be 8 in june...
